Women in Sponsorship Announces New Networking Session With Panel On 'The Live Economy'

SOMERSET HOUSE, STRAND, FEBRUARY 21, 2018

Women In Sponsorship, a non-for-profit initiative run by Think!Sponsorship and The UK Sponsorship Awards, is holding its latest networking event on February 21st in the exquisite surroundings of Somerset House, on London’s Strand.

The event, which will run from 6.00pm to 8.30pm, is designed to support the needs of professionals working in the sponsorship and fundraising sector by offering networking, content, mentoring and professional development. As part of the evening’s activities there will be a panel session entitled The Live Economy, chaired by Activative’s Jeremy Edwards.

The Live Economy session, which will run for about an hour, will explore the power of the live experience, looking at “How, What & Why Live Events Deliver For Brands”. Joining Edwards will be experts from the sponsorship agency and event sectors.

Women In Sponsorship co-founders Rosemary Sarginson and Catherine Hawkins said: “Following the success of two previous events, we’d like to invite people working in the industry to join us for our third Women In Sponsorship networking event. Establishing a one to one dialogue with industry peers is an invaluable way of building business contacts and furthering career development.”

The  choice of subject for the panel is very timely given the importance of live experiences to younger audiences said the organisers: “Research shows that leading brands are spending greater amounts of their budgets on live experiences and investing more in sharing that experience with a wider audience, both digitally and socially. Our panel will discuss the best way to deliver memorable live experiences and ask how brands can get involved in a way that appeals to consumers. What can brands bring to an event that consumers appreciate?  What do they want a brand to deliver in terms of tailored activations?”
