UK Sponsorship Awards Announces Dedicated Football Award Section For 2018

The organisers of the UK Sponsorship Awards (UKSA) are delighted to announce that the 2018 edition of the event will include a new section dedicated to Football Sponsorship.

Further details will be provided in due course, but the new section - consisting of between one and three categories – will be open to all kinds of sponsorship within the sector. “Football is by far the biggest area of activity within the sponsorship business,” said UKSA organiser Rosemary Sarginson, “so we have decided to introduce this new section to reflect that fact. Sponsorships of clubs, leagues, domestic and international events will all be eligible to enter. And we will be seeking to reward all kinds of amazing activity from grass roots to glory.”

Every year, the UK Sponsorship Awards team introduces changes to the event that reflect current trends in the industry. This commitment has seen the launch of several new categories in recent years rewarding achievements around diversity, innovation, sustainability, digital activation, branded content and endorsement. Last year also saw the successful introduction of a new rights holder category. “As in previous years, we will be announcing a few key changes in the coming weeks,” said Sarginson. “These help keep the event format fresh and ensure it is rewarding the sector’s ingenuity.”

In addition to this year’s new developments, all of the usual popular categories will be up for grabs (sports, TV, arts, PR, etc). Details on deadlines and how to enter can be found on the Awards website. This year, the Early Bird deadline is December 18th, 2017. The Final Deadline is January 15th, 2018. The event itself is on March 27th, 2018 at the London Marriott Hotel.
