UEFA Women’s EURO England 2022 appoints five agencies to support marcomms delivery

The Local Organising Structure [LOS] responsible for the delivery of the UEFA Women’s EURO England 2022 has appointed five agencies to support the national marketing communications  delivery of the tournament taking place across nine host cities in England next summer.

M&C Saatchi Sport and Entertainment, MATTA, Threepipe Reply, Two Circles and Heart Productions will implement an integrated campaign that will drive ticket sales, maximise tournament awareness, help to deliver TV audiences for the host broadcaster, the BBC, and attract new fans and players to the women’s game.

The tournament, due to be the biggest women’s European sport event in history, has over 700,000 tickets available across the ten venues. The opening match will take place at Old Trafford on July 6th 2022 and the final at Wembley on July 31st 2022.

Passion marketing agency M&C Saatchi Sport and Entertainment will deliver an integrated PR and communications campaign that aims to raise awareness of the tournament and encourage all fans to show up for their country, city and the women’s game by buying tickets and supporting the UEFA Women’s EURO England 2022. 

The sports, fitness and well-being creative agency MATTA has been appointed to create a  ticketing campaign across digital and social that will capitalise on the rapid growth in popularity of women’s sport globally. 

​Threepipe Reply has been selected to deliver the paid media strategy, planning and activation for the tournament and aim to successfully deliver a record-breaking event.

​​Sports data and marketing technology company Two Circles will provide consultancy, in-depth fan insight and data analytics technology to help drive attendances and deliver excellent customer experiences.

And finally, Heart Productions has been selected to create and deliver a national promotion programme aimed at engaging new audiences in the lead up to the tournament. The inclusive and accessible experiential campaign, funded by DCMS, will offer multiple access points across the country and be promoted in partnership with the BBC.
