Threadneedle Investments Sponsors Triathlete Vanessa Raw

International investment manager and global financial services sponsor of the ITU World Triathlon Series, Threadneedle Investments, has announced its sponsorship of British triathlete Vanessa Raw. 

Raw, who will wear Threadneedle branding when she competes internationally, will support Threadneedle clients and employees competing in the Threadneedle Team Triathlon by providing coaching sessions, training tips and support in the lead up and on the day of the event.

An established artist as well as a professional triathlete, Raw has become an active ambassador for Threadneedle Foundation partner charities Access Sport and The Art Room. She will work with the Threadneedle Foundation and UK sport development charity Access Sport to develop Tri-3-Sportz, a legacy programme designed to break down barriers to triathlon and make the sport more accessible to young people in London.

Threadneedle recently announced that it has committed to a three-year partnership with the International Triathlon Union (ITU) to become Global Financial Services Partner of the ITU World Triathlon Series. Entering its sixth year in 2014, the ITU World Triathlon Series will showcase eight events in 2014 in Auckland, Cape Town, Yokohama, London, Chicago, Hamburg, Stockholm and the World Triathlon Grand Final in Edmonton, Canada.

The London event – the 2014 PruHealth World Triathlon London - will be held on 31 May/1 June in Hyde Park, where over 200 Threadneedle clients and employees will compete in the Threadneedle Team Triathlon on the same course as the elite athletes.
