Strathmore Gets On Track With British Athletics

Bottled water brand Strathmore has signed as official water of British Athletics major events.  The brand will supply nearly 40,000 bottles of water to athletes, staff and hospitality at the Müller Anniversary Games in London at the end of July as well as the British Championships this weekend, where Britain’s best athletes will attempt to qualify for the Olympic Games.

Strathmore is involved in a wide ranging programme that supports world class events as well as governing bodies across football, rugby, athletics, cycling and swimming.

The Müller Anniversary Games consists of the IAAF Diamond League and IPC Grand Prix Final and will take place at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park on 22-23 July.

The British Championships will be held in Birmingham at the Alexander Stadium over three days from 24-26 June. Over 600 athletes from across the country will compete over the three days.

UK Athletics chief executive Niels de Vos said: “I’m delighted to welcome Strathmore as our official water of the forthcoming British Athletics events this summer. Keeping hydrated is crucial to the success of athletes at major events and it’s great to have Strathmore, a brand that has a proud association with major sporting events,  on board.”

Adrian Troy, Head of Marketing at A. G. Barr, said: “Our sponsorship programme not only helps support the country’s sporting heroes achieve their goals but encourages the development of our stars of the future - from those taking part in events for fun to those who are just inspired to Do More in their daily lives.”
