SPONSORSPARTNERS
Media agency Goodstuff and Sports Revolution, the London-based international sports, media and digital marketing agency have worked together to broker a marketing deal for Yorkshire Tea at the Ashes cricket series.
Yorkshire Tea, which has been an ECB sponsor since 2013, and a supporter of grassroots cricket in the UK for 20 years, plans to use the Ashes campaign to build on its growing popularity in Australia.
Launched on November 23rd 2017 at the first test at the Gabba, the campaign showcases camera-facing advertisements on the digital perimeter board, designed to target the Australian market. Yorkshire Tea will advertise at all five Ashes tests, as well as the ODI and T20 matches.
Brokering this deal for Yorkshire Tea with Cricket Australia for The Ashes 2017/18 demonstrates Sports Revolution’s expertise in bringing together sports rights holders and brands and allows Goodstuff to offer a new area of expertise.
Tom Fogg, Commercial Director, Sports Revolution, said: “Cricket and tea are a natural fit and we are delighted that we are helping Yorkshire Tea target the Australian market.”
Kevin Sinfield, Head of Brand Marketing, Yorkshire Tea commented: We have a long-standing relationship with cricket at both a national and grass roots level and we are pleased to extend this overseas with a campaign around The Ashes 2017/18. We see great opportunity for further growth of Yorkshire Tea in Australia - the popularity and passion surrounding Ashes cricket provides the perfect platform for us to drive brand awareness and relevancy.”
