The Sports Consultancy Appoints Simon Long

The Sports Consultancy has appointed Simon Long to the newly created role of Commercial Director. Simon Long’s primary focus will be on securing new and wide-ranging business to complement the company’s existing portfolio of clients.

Simon’s previous roles include Chief Commercial Officer at Stylus Media Group, Head of Business Development, UK&I for Nielsen Sport and Chief Commercial Officer at the Lawn Tennis Association where he was responsible for all aspects of commercial, broadcast, events and participation. Prior to that Simon was CEO of North One Sport, global promoter of the FIA World Rally Championships, having spent the previous decade in various senior marketing and sales roles at Diageo.

Simon’s media rights, business development and commercial experience will also be used to support the targeted acquisition of premium rights and in developing new revenue streams from the sale of premium hosting and broadcast rights, in collaboration with existing teams.
