pmplegacy Appointed By Sri Lanka For Commonwealth Games 2018 bid

pmplegacy, part of the Sports Marketing Division of Chime Communications plc, has been appointed as lead adviser and project manager by the Hambantota 2018 Candidate City Organising Committee to assist in their bid to host the Commonwealth Games in eight years time.
Global sporting events consultancy pmplegacy will lead a roster of international agencies including Fast Track and Bell Pottinger – both Chime agencies – plus Populous and pwc together with a number of other specialist advisers.
The international team will advise on all 15 themes in the Candidature File including legacy, finance, sport & venues, media and marketing, transport planning, sustainability, security, and corporate identity to help Sri Lanka develop its bid to host the 2018 Games.
pmplegacy has a twenty five year track record of working with cities around the world on the evaluation, bidding, planning and delivery of major sporting events.  The company, founded and chaired by Peter Mann, has worked on a wide range of major events including Olympic & Paralympic Games; Youth Olympic Games; Asian and Commonwealth Games and Cricket, Football and Rugby World Cups.
Its clients include World Cup Barbados 2007; Beijing 2008; 2008 African Cup of Nations; Singapore 2010 Youth Olympic Games; London 2012; Glasgow 2014; Madrid 2016 and most recently, England’s 2018 FIFA World Cup bid.
