Octagon, global sports and entertainment marketing specialists,has made two leadership promotions, positioning the agency for continued expansion of its global marketing and events business. John Shea has been promoted to President, Marketing and Events and Jeff Ehrenkranz has been promoted to President, Marketing International. John and Jeff have both worked for the organisation for more than 20 years and both will report directly to Octagon Worldwide Chairman & CEO Rick Dudley.

Shea’s management of Octagon’s North and South American consulting teams has resulted in client partnerships that span decades and programmes recognised by Cannes, Clio Sports and others. He has created results-driven sponsorship platforms across a variety of segments, and managed relationships with all of the major sports leagues and organisations in the Americas. John will now be responsible for Octagon Marketing Americas, the Events division and The Content Group.
Most recently, Jeff Ehrenkranz served as Octagon’s Managing Director EMEI, overseeing operations and new business across the region. He now adds Asia Pacific to his responsibilities. Jeff has focused much of his career on international sports and entertainment consulting including residency and long-term assignments in Japan, Australia and Europe, gaining the reputation as one of the industry’s top marketing strategists. This year, Jeff’s team won Consultancy of the Year at the UK Sponsorship Awards.
