SPONSORSPARTNERS
Unilever’s male skincare brand Dove Men+Care has announced a new partnership as an Official Tournament Supplier of Rugby World Cup 2015. As a result of the agreement, some 5,000+ deodorants and shower gels and skincare will be offered to players from all participating teams across the duration of the Tournament.
World Rugby Chief Executive Brett Gosper said: "The appointment of another brand sector leader with a passion for rugby to our record-breaking commercial programme is great news for the sport and further underscores the strength of the Rugby World Cup brand in the global sponsorship marketplace."
Tickets for both the Pool and Knock Out Stages will be made available to Dove Men+Care customers through competitions in all major retailers, as well as through the brand’s own social media channel, @dovemen; a platform which was established two seasons ago, and which will continue to be at the heart of their campaign. Tying in with their product message ‘Care Makes a Man Stronger’, Dove Men+Care will roll out a content strategy across both Twitter and youtube.com/dovemen as part of their #scrumtogether campaign.
Callum Galloway, Dove Men+Care Brand Manager: “The addition of this prestigious rugby event to our sponsorship portfolio is extremely exciting for both Dove Men+Care and Unilever as a whole. Having established our commitment to rugby over the last few years, a partnership with Rugby World Cup 2015 is a natural extension of our existing relationships with the home unions and one which will see a 360 brand communication campaign throughout the tournament. We very much look forward to the next few months, which begin with the Autumn International matches and close with the RWC 2015 Final on home shores. As an Official Tournament Supplier, we also look forward to offering the world’s best rugby players our high performance grooming products across Rugby World Cup 2015.”
Dove Men+Care already partners with the England, Scotland, Welsh and Irish Rugby Unions and the partnership with Rugby World Cup Limited cements their continued support of the game in these home territories.
