National Theatre and Travelex Celebrate A Decade In Partnership

The National Theatre is celebrating the tenth anniversary of its partnership with Travelex. At the celebration early next week, its director, Nicholas Hytner, will look back on some of the highlights of a decade of Travelex Tickets and how the scheme has championed access and allowed greater freedom in programming.  He will be joined by Lloyd Dorfman, Chairman of Travelex, as well as two key contributors to the seasons, director Marianne Elliott and actor Simon Russell Beale.

The partnership between the National Theatre and Travelex, the world’s largest retailer of foreign exchange, began in 2003 with Nicholas Hytner’s production of Henry V.  Over the past ten years, over two million people have enjoyed over 40 productions, ranging from classic revivals to new plays, with almost half the tickets still being available to everybody for just £12.  This year, Travelex renewed their sponsorship for another three years.
