Fuse Sport + Entertainment, part of Omnicom Media Group UK, has promoted Lou Johnson to Managing Director, EMEA. Lou, the former deputy MD, will report to Philippa Brown, the chief executive of Omnicom Media Group UK. As MD, Lou will lead the continued growth of Fuse Sport + Entertainment both in the UK and across the EMEA region.
Since joining Fuse Sport + Entertainment in 2010, Johnson has overseen rapid growth, with the UK team growing from 8 to 104.
During 2016, Fuse Sport + Entertainment helped Nissan GB activate its British Olympic Association and British Paralympic Association partnerships, led Carlsberg’s ‘Probably the best’ UEFA Euro 2016 activation and secured and activated Dacia’s first ever UK sponsorship deal, with the Rugby Football League. The agency developed a programme to get school age children active with Nike, helped bring to life the Levi’s® Music Project with Skepta, created a world first with PepsiCo ambassador Alicia Keys opening the UEFA Champions League Final in Milan and took McDonalds McFlurry on tour across three major UK festivals. Fuse Sport + Entertainment also won two Cannes Lions and a BAFTA with Channel 4 for the creative launch of the critically acclaimed television series Humans.
