Limelight Sports Delivers Global Energy Race

Limelight Sports was the agency behind the delivery of the UK edition of the 2017 Global Energy Race by New York Bakery Company and Grupo Bimbo. The event, made up of 3k, 5k and 10k runs, started globally in 2015 and, now in its 3rd year, has expanded to 38 host cities in 21 countries.

Global Energy Race is owned by Grupo Bimbo, the largest baking company in the world. The New York Bakery Company, owned by Grupo Bimbo, has a factory based just a few miles from the UK race in Rotherham. They donated one bagel for every one kilometre completed by every runner to local food banks as well as donated all entry fees to charity. This event is run in partnership with The Trussell Trust,  the UK Foodbank Network, which provides emergency food and support to people in crisis across the UK.
