J.P. Morgan Renews Sponsorship At Lord’s Cricket Ground

Global financial services firm J.P. Morgan has renewed its sponsorship of Lord’s and its Media Centre. The three-year sponsorship deal was signed following the completion of a £4m refurbishment of the award-winning J.P. Morgan Media Centre.

The partnership with the MCC, which began in 2011 and will now run through to the end of 2019, delivers a package of rights at the Home of Cricket. With branding around the ground, sponsorship of the annual MCC Museum Exhibition and hospitality, events and digital rights, J.P. Morgan’s agreement with MCC retains the firm’s position as the largest sponsor in the Club’s 230 year history. MCC and J.P. Morgan also work together on a number of community-based projects, such as a scheme to help secondary school pupils prepare for a career after education.

Commenting on the renewal, Jon Robinson, MCC’s Head of Commercial, said: “J.P. Morgan is the most significant commercial sponsor that MCC has ever worked with, and the Club is naturally delighted to be renewing our successful association. Quite simply, it is an excellent strategic partnership that works very well, and it is fitting the agreement comes at a time when Lord’s prepares to host its first major match of the season.

“MCC’s continual investment in Lord’s is paramount, to ensure the Home of Cricket always provides a world-class experience, as is the running of the Club’s numerous local, national and international community projects; J.P. Morgan’s sponsorship is a significant factor in helping to ensure MCC can invest in both areas. We look forward to continuing our work with J.P. Morgan in what promises to be three exciting years ahead.”

Viswas Raghavan, J.P. Morgan’s Deputy Chief Executive Officer - Europe, Middle East & Africa, said: “It is an opportunity and an honour to continue our support of MCC's cricket-related projects around the world, while increasing our international visibility.”

J.P. Morgan has an option to renew further upon Lord’s being allocated matches in future years.
