Emirates has appointed sports marketing specialist Synergy to activate its Worldwide Partnership with Rugby World Cup 2015. Following a competitive pitch process, Synergy will create and execute an integrated PR, digital and experiential campaign, themed around Emirates’ ‘Hello Tomorrow’ global brand platform and focused on the brand’s RWC Flag Bearer programme and RWC 2015 Fan Zones.
Emirates has a rich rugby heritage with its portfolio of rugby sponsorships. It first sponsored the RWC in France in 2007 as a Tournament Sponsor, became a Worldwide Partner for RWC 2011 in New Zealand, and was the first Worldwide Partner to sign an agreement for both RWC 2015 in England and 2019 in Japan.
