Elonex Signs To London Irish Rugby Club

London Irish Rugby Club and Elonex have agreed a six-year sponsorship deal and commercial partnership which will see the global consumer electronics and  technology brand provide electronic match day advertising boards and e-tail equipment to the Aviva Premiership side until 2017.

Under the agreement, in addition to a sponsorship fee, Elonex will provide the Exiles with match day LED boards for every home game at the Madejski Stadium which will make the club the first Aviva Premiership side to feature electronic advertising on a seasonal basis.  They will also supply a range of eTouch™ Android™ tablets to enable the club to sell merchandise directly to clients through its hospitality facilities.

Elonex will become an official partner with branding on the back of the first team playing shirts.  It will also become the club’s official advertising agent – selling the spare capacity on the LED advertising boards for match days.

Nick Smith CEO of Elonex said: “Elonex has invested heavily in its UK Sports division and has a long and successful history in providing the very latest, market leading electronic technology to the industry.  This partnership with London Irish sets a new precedent in the rugby Premiership which we hope will bring many new opportunities and benefits for Elonex as it looks to extend its reach into the sport.”

Richard Marsh, Commercial Director London Irish said: “London Irish wants to be at the forefront of innovation within rugby which is vital for success both on and off the field.  Introducing the technology available through Elonex to enhance in-stadia advertising and retail operations ensures that we keep ahead of the pack and continue to improve and maximise revenue streams.”
