Elite Cycling Race, The Women's Tour Seeks Sponsorship

The Women’s Tour,  the world’s first ever women’s elite cycling race to provide female athletes with total parity (in prize money, TV coverage and back-up) with the major men’s events taking place in May 2014, is seeking sponsorship.  Edelman Matter has been tasked with the job of sourcing a presenting sponsor and a jersey sponsor by organisers Sweetspot.  

Broadcast coverage will be across ITV 4 for one hour each of five days during the Tour (8.8 million).  Broadcast also on Eurosport (18 million) and across 18 international broadcasters (350 million across 150 countries).

Estimates indicate that crowds of in excess of 2-3 million spectators will turn out to watch the race as it passes through cities, towns and villages along the route.
