Champagne Lanson On Stage With Welsh National Opera

Welsh National Opera has secured a new partnership with Champagne Lanson which will be the Company’s champagne partner for the spring and summer seasons this year. The in-kind deal will see Champagne Lanson providing champagne for various events across the seasons and special stunt bottles will also be placed on stage in the Company’s new production of Die Fledermaus.
The labels on the bottles were re-designed by designer Tim Reed who took inspiration from an original bottle of Champagne Lanson from the 1900s, the period in which Welsh National Opera’s production of Die Fledermaus is set.  Champagne is celebrated throughout the production of Die Fledermaus as seen in one of the final lines in the libretto; ‘One monarch then we all adore, bow before, Heavenly champagne be our king for evermore.’

Paul Beavis, Managing Director of Champagne Lanson in the UK, commented: “It is fitting that the first production following the announcement of this partnership is Die Fledermaus – an opera filled with references to champagne.”
