Capitalize–The BrandFan® Agency has continued its restructuring of the company with the appointment of Garry Lace as new Chairman. The announcement coincides with the agency’s decision to form a new Board of Directors and hire Candida Hilton, former head of Eskimo PR, the consumer fashion PR agency.
Lace is a recognised figure within advertising having held CEO roles at TBWA, Grey and Lowe. He will work with Capitalize’s Board of Directors to provide strategic counsel across the agency’s specialist PR and communications, sponsorship consultancy, retail and experiential marketing divisions.
Joining Lace on the newly formed Board of Directors is James Dunning who is a new Non-Executive Director of the company. Dunning brings experience in creating and leveraging sports marketing campaigns and has founded and built a number of successful agencies. He will help drive Capitalize’s core sports marketing and sponsorship function.
Candida Hilton and her former Eskimo PR team will be fully integrated into the Capitalize brand along with its pool of clients which include Sorel, Police, Moda In Pelle, See by Chloe and Bronx. Eskimo PR bring over 20 years of experience in consumer fashion PR and will strengthen Capitalize’s PR and communications offering across both agencies’ existing clients.
These announcements conclude a period of restructuring across Capitalize in 2012 which included the launch of sponsorship sales offering following the acquisition of Khan Consulting as well as a number of internal appointments at senior level. Capitalize’s clients include Bacardi-Martini, Standard Chartered Bank, PUMA, Ray-Ban, Merrell and the English National Opera.
