Betdaq Signs Six-figure Deal with Kempton Park

Kempton Park Racecourse is marking a new six-figure partnership with Betdaq offering free admission to visitors every Wednesday in February. Ireland-based betting exchange Betdaq has agreed a year-long sponsorship deal to support midweek flat racing on the all-weather floodlit racetrack.
The first of 44 such fixtures is on 26 January, with the partnership for the Betdaq Wednesday Winner Series lasting until 25 January 2012. Following the four free admission Wednesdays in February for all visitors to the racecourse, BETDAQ’s own account holders will receive complimentary entry to Wednesday night fixtures until next January.
The new arrangement with the racecourse also means that 176 races will be sponsored by Betdaq over the next year. The ground floor sports bar at Kempton Park will be named after the sponsor for the duration of the deal too.
Kempton Park’s managing director Amy Starkey said: “We are delighted to have come to this agreement with a high profile betting exchange in BETDAQ which is demonstrating its continuing commitment to British horse racing, and we look forward to an ongoing partnership.”
BETDAQ’s marketing director Shane McLaughlin said: “Betdaq has been a consistent supporter of British horse racing throughout our 10 year history and we are delighted to continue that support with this sponsorship. Kempton Park is a fantastic racecourse and we are very pleased to be able to pass some of the sponsorship benefits directly on to account holders on Betdaq.com.”
Betdaq, the trading name of the Global Betting Exchange, was founded in 2000 by Irish businessman Dermot Desmond, whose business interests focus on technology, leisure, transport and include the luxury resort, Sandy Lane, in Barbados, and a major shareholding in Glasgow Celtic Football Club.
